"Yes or No” and "Take Back The Night" serve as a teaser for ‘Long Slow Dance,’ a big, beautiful record due this fall on Mexican Summer. ‘L.S.D.’ is a mature, anthemic and, in subtle ways, pretty weird album. And there you have it--Tim Cohen, Shayde Sartin, Wymond Miles, and Kyle Gibson--here to mess with your head and have you say “Thank you.”
LP 'Long Slow Dance' out Sept 4th
‘Long Slow Dance,’ the Fresh & Onlys’ fourth album in as many years. This thing’s a breakthrough; the band is joyous, confident--almost dangerous. ‘L.S.D.’ teems with Morricone-esque flourishes and seemingly disparate genre elements. Recorded on the same reel-to-reel that Warren Zevon did “Werewolves of London,” these instantly compelling songs demand multiple listens. It’s both the San Francisco act’s most cohesive work to date and a sprawling selection of stoner-anthems.
